Juggernauts Edged by Rangers, 8-6
|
Though he had a terrific game, Tillmam Velado could not prevent his team, the Toronto Juggernauts, from absorbing a loss. Buffalo won the game, 8-6. Velado went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. With the win, Buffalo pushed its record to 74-72.
Al Lindberg hit a run-scoring triple off Ubaldo Salviati in the top of the eighth, which put the Rangers in front, 7-6. In addition to the triple, Lindberg had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Lindberg.
