Rothman slugs 2 home runs as Senators Squeeze Past Cincinnati
Both teams had their chances, but the Washington Senators eventually prevailed.

A 5-RBI performance from the former first round draft pick Cosmo Rothman helped the Washington Senators beat the Cincinnati Twins, 6-5. The Senators now have a mark of 60-86.

Washington used a timely hit from Eddie Leahy to get the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Senators ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Rothman, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
