Vikings Fall Short, 2-1, at Phoenix
|
Phoenix Thunderbirds starter Arturo Noboa turned in an exceptional performance against the Minneapolis Vikings at Legednary Park, resulting in a Phoenix win, 2-1. Noboa, the winner, moves to 8-2. He threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 3 walks. Phoenix now has a record of 77-69 with the win.
Alex Pedraja drew 2 walk in 4 trips to the plate for Phoenix. The 21-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Rin Sakai. It was his 3rd walk of the season.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Noboa said after the game.
