San Diego Gets 6-3 Win
|
Good production from center fielder Ramão Bizarro helped the San Diego Destroyers topple the Portland Dragons, 6-3. Bizarro went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times for the Destroyers. Gang-sheng Kim got the save, the 1st for him this season. The Destroyers are now 62-84.
San Diego used a clutch at-bat from Asa Hornyak to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Destroyers ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Hornyak told the San Diego News.
