Avispas Tag Greens with 4-1 Loss
|
Santiago starter Roberto Davila put a stranglehold on the Boston offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Avispas to a 4-1 win. The winner was Davila. He threw 6.0 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was Javy Alejo. Boston now owns a losing streak of 5 games.
Jordan Cazarez, who is tied for 4th in the EC in stolen bases with 34, had a direct impact on the outcome. Cazarez contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Santiago up, 4-0.
"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Cazarez told the Santiago Daily. "But we take nothing for granted."
