Morf Pounds 2 Homers in 8-3 Thunderbirds Win
|
Billy Morf, who is tied for 10th in the WC in triples with 6, knocked in 4 runs to help the Phoenix Thunderbirds win, 8-3, over the Tucson Toros. The win gives Phoenix a season record of 80-65.
Morf contributed in the bottom of the fourth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Phoenix get the win.
"Solid performance from our side," said Thunderbirds manager Joe Busch.
