Twins Bedevil Titans, 8-7
|
The Cincinnati Twins turned back the New York Titans, 8-7, at Cincinnati Grounds. Jessie McMenemy, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 2. Reliever Dainer Madera picked up the win. His record improves to 5-0. Juan Lajara, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2068 draft, took the loss. The loss makes New York 94-51.
Bryan Ferris was the walk-off hero for Cincinnati. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Twins designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Twins manager Ryan Stoops.
