The San Francisco Friars did just enough to sneak past the Chicago Phantoms, 5-4, at Foster Field. San Francisco pitcher Kelvin Vaquera, in particular, had a standout performance. At 74-71, the Friars claim third place in the Western Conference Nala Forcelledo Division.

Shortstop Kai-xi Leong made an impact for San Francisco, when he swatted a run-scoring triple off Juzo Matsumoto in the top of the fifth. For the contest, Leong was 1 for 2 with a triple.

"Kelvin just went about his business, throwing strikes," said San Francisco manager Jeremy Cooan.
