Wolves Turn Back Aces, 4-3
The Vancouver Wolves earned a win at Western Coliseum, knocking off the Las Vegas Aces, 4-3. On the bump for Vancouver was right-hander Kiyohiro Murakami. He had a starring role in the triumph. Vancouver reliever Jesus Ortiz was the winner. His record is now 9-4. Jose Castillo took the loss. With the win, Vancouver goes to 74-71, while the Aces fall to 84-61.

Grant Gasiorek came through with a big-time hit for Vancouver. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"I like what I saw today," said Vancouver manager Matt Libid, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
