Miami Hot Streak Continues with 5-1 Win
|
The exploits of catcher Shane Ausmus helped the Miami Cyclones defeat the Washington Senators, 5-1. Ausmus was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Francisco Sequeira picked up his 18th save of the season. The loss makes Washington 58-87.
Early in the game, Ausmus had a 2-run home run for Miami. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Cyclones on top, 2-0.
"We'll keep riding this wave as long as we can," said Cyclones manager Chris Stephan.
