Watanabe Swings Avispas to 8-6 Win
Mayumi Watanabe was a major factor in the 8-6 Santiago win over Boston. The Avispas left fielder hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Getting the save was Jimmy Hsia, his 9th. Boston has now lost 4 consecutive games.

With Santiago trailing 6-5 in the top of the ninth, Watanabe hit a fastball from Raudel Hernandez for a 2-run home run. It was his 25th home run of the season and put the Avispas ahead, 7-6.

"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Watanabe.
