Vikings Suffer 1-0 Loss to Stars
The Los Angeles Stars picked up a win at Minneapolis Grounds, taking down the Minneapolis Vikings, 1-0. Starting pitcher Manny Muro was a big reason why. Miguel Torrez recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 38 for 39. The first-place Stars have their sights set on making a deep playoff run.

Chris Kouri had a productive at-bat in the top of the second inning. With a runner on 3rd, the Los Angeles shortstop hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 1-0, and led to the win.

"That's baseball," said Minneapolis manager Ace Cooan. "You're not always going to be hitting on all cylinders."
