Denver Glaciers starter Su-shun Nie worked his magic, to help his team defeat the Portland Dragons, 5-1. The winning pitcher was Nie, now 19-5. He tossed 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6. Denver raised its record to 87-57 with the win.

Pete Delzeit had a big bases-clearing double for the Glaciers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Denver leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a cutter from Ryan Mena, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2078 draft, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 23rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Glaciers ahead, 5-1.

"It's so much easier when you throw good pitches," said Nie.
