Friars Get Thrilling 8-7 Win
No one was more impactful than Lyalya Markosiants in an extra-inning, 8-7 San Francisco win over Vancouver. Markosiants, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2077, went 1 for 2 with 4 walks. He scored 3 runs. Roger Calzada was the winner in relief. His record is now 3-3. The losing pitcher was Victor Franco. With the win, San Francisco upped its record to 73-71.

The Friars got a clutch hit from shortstop Robby Vieyra. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Friars.

"The crowd was juiced," said Markosiants.
