Lobster Take Down Spectres, 6-4
|
The Maine Lobster trumped the Philadelphia Spectres, 6-4, in 11 innings. Maine catcher Willie Echartea was impactful. He went 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. At 71-72, the Lobster claim third place in the Eastern Conference Solano Antas Division.
Keith Huebner came through with a big-time hit for Maine. The right fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
In postgame remarks, Echartea said: "I'm proud of our guys, of their fight."
