Juggernauts Stymied by Friars, Chugh
|
The San Francisco Friars and Toronto Juggernauts squared off at Staples Field.
Shaun Chugh, who led the WC in ERA with 2.76 in 2076, never let the Juggernauts get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his changeup, to pitch the Friars to a win, 6-1. The Friars now have a record of 73-71 with the win over Toronto.
Chugh earned the win, going 7.1 strong innings for San Francisco. The left-hander allowed just 1 hit, while striking out 11. Toronto hitters had little success against him.
"Shaun is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said San Francisco manager Jeremy Cooan.
