In a low-scoring contest, Seattle pitcher Aaron Kopta was marvelous in his team's 3-1 win. Kopta went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 1-5. Francisco Sequeira closed the game out for Seattle, earning his 7th save.
Jason Perry took Vidal Cortez deep in the top of the second. His 2-run home run put the Arrows on top, 2-1. In all, Perry had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"Good win," said Kopta. "Maybe some of the whiners in the clubhouse will pipe down for a little while now."
Seattle is now 18-21.
