Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Los Angeles Stars and Minneapolis Vikings.

Getting an impressive start from John Blagdon, Los Angeles beat Minneapolis by the score of 3-2. Miguel Torrez, credited with the save, is now 37 for 38 in save opportunities.

In the top of the 6th, third baseman Manny Sagastisado gave Los Angeles the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Stars had been trailing 1-0, but the two-out single off Minneapolis pitcher Manny Medina changed that -- and Los Angeles went on to win.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Minneapolis manager Ace Cooan.

Los Angeles is rocking and rolling at 97-45.
