The Seattle Arrows did just enough to sneak past the Denver Glaciers, 4-3, at Power Ballpark. Seattle designated hitter Ricky Zika, in particular, had a standout performance. Bobby Edwards, the winning pitcher, improved to 8-12. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 4 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 8 and walking 1. Earning his 13th save of the year was Victor Roman.
Seattle took a 3-2 lead on Ben Ormsby's 1st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Ormsby hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Denver pitcher Jose Suniga visibly frustrated.
"What we get, we earn," Ormsby told the Seattle Chronicle.
The Arrows sport a record of 51-91.
