Vikings Pull Out Late Win, 4-3
|
The Los Angeles Stars got a sterling performance from pitcher Jordan Oliva, but the Minneapolis Vikings still prevailed, 4-3. Oliva threw 6.2 innings of 2-hit ball. With the win, Minneapolis raised its record to 75-68.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Minneapolis trailing 3-2, Vince Minta hit a fastball from Touta Kubo to center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Vikings had a walk-off win.
"This place was electric at the end," Minta said.
