Win Makes Kodiaks 76-67
|
Behind a solid performance from third baseman Alderaan Pike, the Alaska Kodiaks defeated the Seattle Arrows, 6-2. Pike was 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles for the Kodiaks. The winning pitcher was Alcides Zaldivar. He's now 5-3. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits for the Kodiaks. Alaska occupies first place in the Western Conference John Sexton Division at 76-67.
With Alaska leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Pike hit a splitter from Ken Shearn for a run-scoring double. It was his 31st double of the season and put the Kodiaks ahead, 2-0.
