The Chicago Phantoms picked up a win at Foster Field, topping the Houston Aquas, 6-2. On the mound for Chicago was left-hander Tetsukazu Kaneda. He played a principal role in the triumph. Kaneda, the winner, moves to 9-8. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 2 and giving up 2 walks. The second-place Phantoms have a record of 77-66.

The Phantoms got a big at-bat from shortstop Ron Jollymour. For the game, Jollymour went 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Chicago a 3-2 lead.
