Toronto right fielder Tillmam Velado contributed significantly to his team's 11-5 win over the Philadelphia Spectres. Velado, who finished 4th in the EC in OPS with .926 in 2075, went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Juggernauts. Daniel Taylor got the win, improving to 2-5. He held the Spectres to 2 runs on 6 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 2. The 'W' lifts Toronto's record to 61-81.

With Toronto leading 7-2 in the bottom of the fifth, Velado came up to bat against Philadelphia pitcher Hector Villafuerte. Velado hit a changeup to right-center for a grand slam home run. His 51st home run of the season put the Juggernauts on top, 11-2.

Velado told the Toronto Chronicle: "I'm the straw that stirs the drink."
