Wolves Clip Toros, 1-0
|
Jose Uresti, who finished 5th in the WC in ERA with 2.89 in 2074, played a key role in a gritty 1-0 Vancouver Wolves win against the Tucson Toros. Vancouver is now 59-83.
Koson Kitano, the 12th overall pick in the 2072 draft, took Tucson hurler Juan Gonzalez deep in the bottom of the sixth. His solo home run put the Wolves on top, 1-0. In all, Kitano had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Vancouver skipper Matt Libid.
