Twins Win, 3-1
|
Cincinnati took on Baltimore in a contest which featured a pitchers' duel. Brian Burda, in particular, was fantastic. The Cincinnati right-hander helped his team snag the win, 3-1. The Twins now have a record of 68-73.
Cincinnati used a timely hit from Jessie McMenemy to get the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Twins ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Cincinnati manager Ryan Stoops.
