Senators Defeat Titans in 12
|
It took 12 innings, but the Washington Senators were able to beat the New York Titans, 5-3, at The ESPN Zone. Sung-hyo Kym provided some offensive muscle for Washington. He went 4-6 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The last-place Senators improved to 54-88.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 12th. With no one out, Kym hit a fastball from Nick Tamulevich for a 2-run home run. The Senators, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"The house was rockin'," said Kym.
