Vancouver Wolves pitcher Jose Madrid was in fine form, leading his team past the San Francisco Friars, 3-1. Cody Goings finished to wrap up his 8th save. The Wolves raised their record to 65-77.
Per Fronteira, who leads the WC in hits with 184, had a direct impact on the outcome. Fronteira contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Vancouver up, 3-0.
"Jose is a gamer," said Vancouver manager Zach Meinen.
