The Baltimore Kings had to overcome a good performance from Boston pitcher Tien-kai Ec to claim a 2-1 win at AT&T Park. Ec went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Korey Sanders earned the win in relief. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. With the win, the Kings improved to 73-68.
Da-xia Peng, who is rated as the 6th best prospect by BNN, helped out the Baltimore cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the third baseman drove in one run.
"It was a well-pitched game," Boston manager Matt Glazer said.
