The Havana Metropolitanos pinned a convincing loss on the Maine Lobster, 11-2, at Ballpark of Portland. Andy Gonzales was a main factor in the win. He was 4-6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 4 and driving in 2 for Havana. The Metropolitanos now have a record of 79-62 with the win over Maine.

Havana won the game in part because of Mario Murillo. The designated hitter ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Metropolitanos ahead, 10-2. For the game, Murillo had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"We didn't play well enough to win," said Maine skipper Matthew McExpos.
