The Houston Aquas got a superb performance from pitcher Yadisniel Saez, but the Las Vegas Aces still won the game, 5-3. Saez threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. J.P. McNealy got the save, the 18th for him this season. The win puts the Aces at 69-72, while the Aquas drop to 88-53.

Manichiro Kawasaki hit a 2-run home run off Ron Gelsomino in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Aces ahead, 4-3. In addition to the homer, Kawasaki had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.

"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said Kawasaki. "I think we showed that here."
