Glaciers Drop 3-2 Decision
|
The Phoenix Thunderbirds had to overcome a big game from Denver second baseman Pete Delzeit to leave Legednary Park with a victory. And they did, winning, 3-2. Delzeit was 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. Kelly Lazell picked up the win in relief. Dylan Cisar took the loss for Denver. The victory gives the Thunderbirds a record of 70-70.
With two out in the bottom of the fifth, Min-yul Lee put Phoenix in front, 3-2, with a run-scoring single. The Thunderbirds went on to win the ballgame.
Lee called the win "good for the psyche of this team."
