Late Magic Gets Alaska 6-1 Win
|
The Alaska Kodiaks defeated the Seattle Arrows, 6-1, in Western Conference action at Tundradome. Alaska pitcher Alex Mayorga had a standout performance. Eddie Izurieta, credited with the win, is now 5-2. He allowed no runs on no hits. Alaska is 69-71 and Seattle, with the loss, 78-62.
Matt Arias had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the eighth. The Alaska catcher came through with a run-scoring single to put Alaska in front, 2-1.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Arias.
