Juggernauts Deal Spectres 7-1 Defeat
|
Boosted by the 2-hit performance of Caleb Graham, who leads the EC in doubles with 49, the Toronto Juggernauts defeated the Philadelphia Spectres, 7-1. Danny Ronquillo came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. His record now stands at 3-4. Toronto, at 70-71, occupies third place in the Eastern Conference Solano Antas Division.
In the top of the third, Toronto shortstop Steve Dunn had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Dunn stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 5-0, Toronto. For the game, he went 1 for 4 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Juggernauts manager Marc Arnold.
