The San Francisco Friars trumped the San Antonio Angels, 7-3, at Staples Field. San Francisco catcher Amdre Ceclio was terrific. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. San Francisco reliever David Platas, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2073 draft, was credited with the win. His record goes to 5-0. Jeff Umlah took the loss for San Antonio. The Friars saw their win-loss record go to 81-60. At the same time, the Angels fell to 63-78.

Early in the game, Ceclio had a solo home run for San Francisco. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Friars on top, 2-1.

"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Ceclio told the San Francisco Observer. "You win just by scoring more runs."
