Twins Paste 3-1 Loss on Kings
|
Nestor Cantu pitched well, but his team, the Baltimore Kings, still dropped a 3-1 decision to the Cincinnati Twins at AT&T Park. Alex Amezquita earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 2-0. The third-place Twins now have a win-loss record of 63-77.
Cincinnati used a well-timed hit by Luis Zuniga to capture the win. The right fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put the Twins ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Zuniga told a Cincinnati Daily reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
