Behind the hitting of Chris Brankin, the St. Louis Gaedels defeated the New York Titans, 3-2. Brankin went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Gaedels. Andres Anguiano earned the win to go to 10-6. He allowed 2 runs on 8 hits, with no walks and 2 strikeouts in 6 innings of work. Ben Ford finished to wrap up his 3rd save.
With St. Louis trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Brankin hit a curveball from Shane Pursley for a 2-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Gaedels ahead, 2-1.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Brankin told the St. Louis Bulletin.
The winning streak has now reached 4 games for St. Louis.
