Maine and Philadelphia duked it out and the Lobster came out victorious.

Behind an impressive start by Ted Ayres, Maine beat Philadelphia, 4-2. Maine pitcher Gerald Blackman got the win. He's now 5-7. Divino Aljeroz was tagged with the loss.

Had Josh Fish not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Fish hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Lobster.

"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Ayres.

Maine is 64-75 and Philadelphia, with the loss, 62-78.
