Loss to Browns Extends Miami Losing Streak
Brooklyn got a first-rate effort from pitcher Alberto Vasquez, who frustrated Miami hitters en route to a 2-1 Browns triumph at Kroger Stadium. Vasquez, the winner, moves to 11-6. He threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 2 walks. Kyle Burch earned the save, his 3rd, for the Browns.

Kadri Dhamo, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2082, had a direct impact on the outcome. Dhamo contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to put Brooklyn up, 2-1.

"We certainly don't want to get used to losing," said losing manager Chris Stephan.

The Cyclones, now 54-85, have lost 7 straight.
