The Alaska Kodiaks locked up a win at Seaward Stadium, knocking off the San Diego Destroyers, 4-3. On the mound for Alaska was right-hander Will Spangenberg. He played a major role in the triumph. Spangenberg got the win, improving to 12-7. He gave up 1 hit and walked 5 over 6 innings. He allowed 3 runs. Javy Granillo got the save, the 3rd for him this season.

Jose Fierro had a direct impact on the outcome. Fierro contributed a 2-run triple in the top of the first inning to put Alaska up, 3-0.
