San Diego Loss Takes Shine Off Gonzales Performance
San Diego left fielder Jose Gonzales pounded Seattle Arrows pitchers at Power Ballpark, but it was not enough to keep the Destroyers from falling, 17-12. Gonzales slugged 3 home runs, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 9. With the victory, the Arrows record stands at 67-72.

An inflection point occurred with two out in the bottom of the sixth. That's when Arrows designated hitter Ricky Zika hit a cutter from Billy Paul for a 2-run single. Just like that, Seattle was up, 13-12.

"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Zika. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
