Houston Gets 12-5 Win Against Athletics
The Houston Aquas powered past the Kansas City Athletics, 12-5, at Tesoro Stadium. Edgar Albuja provided some of the pop. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 times. Axel Mendiola earned the win. Alex Laso, who is tied for 10th in the WC in wins with 4, took the loss for Kansas City. Houston's record now stands at 23-16, placing them first in the Western Conference Felipe Solorzo Division.

Craig Lightsey had a big 2-run double for the Aquas in the bottom of the third inning. With Houston leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Alex Laso, who is tied for 10th in the WC in wins with 4, and swatted a double to right. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Aquas ahead, 4-1.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Lightsey.
