The Baltimore Kings got a magnificent performance from pitcher John Rochford, who muffled the Boston offense en route to a tight, 3-1 Kings win at Arrington Park. Raudelin Proenza earned the save for Baltimore, his 9th. The victory gives the Kings a record of 70-67.

The Kings got a big at-bat from first baseman Danny Rubio. For the game, Rubio was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Baltimore a 2-1 lead.

"John was dictating to their hitters," said Baltimore manager Brad Carpenter.
