Titans Take Tight Tangle

The New York Titans handed the Washington Senators a loss at Polo Grounds II. The final score was 3-2. Major production was provided by Jeremy Ruzicka for New York. In addition to his 2 singles and 1 home run, he scored 2 runs and drove in 2. He also added 1 walk. The win went to Zounes Habyarimana in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Julio Mendoza took the loss. New York, at 69-68, holds down 4th place in the Eastern Conference Zounes Kamuzu Division.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With no one out, Ruzicka hit a fastball from Julio Mendoza for a solo home run. The Titans, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"I'm not out here to win a beauty contest," said Ruzicka. "Obviously."
