Dragons Thrill Fans with 5-3 Win
The Portland Dragons beat the Alaska Kodiaks, 5-3, at Portland Park. Portland shortstop Ray Farr had an outstanding performance. He went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Portland pitcher Jeff Makowka got the win, upping his record to 4-0. Ruben Guzman got the loss. Portland has now reeled off 10 straight wins.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Portland trailing 3-1, Farr hit a curveball from Ruben Guzman for a grand slam home run, giving the Dragons the walk-off win.

"This team is real focused right now," said Portland manager Greg Carpenter.
