Miller K's 10 En Route to 6-1 Stars Win

Starting pitcher Volk Miller did his part in helping the Los Angeles Stars thwart the Portland (E) Lobster, 6-1. Los Angeles now has a record of 93-45 with the win.
Miller, who dominated for Los Angeles, earned the victory to move to 2-0. He was in control the whole game, scattering 4 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 10. Portland (E) batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"I just made my pitches," said Miller, "and the ball kept missing the bat."
