Behind a fine performance from Billy Morf, the Phoenix Thunderbirds knocked off the Tucson Toros, 8-5. Morf went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Thunderbirds. Chris Isaacks snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-3 on the season. Shunsen Maekawa suffered the loss. The win puts Phoenix at 51-85.

In the bottom of the sixth, Phoenix second baseman Billy Buelna had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Buelna stroked a 2-run single to left. It made the score 8-5, Phoenix. For the game, he was 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI.

"Enjoyed this one," Morf told the Phoenix Bulletin. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
