Washington Drops New York, 6-0
|
Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Washington Senators and New York Titans.
The New York Titans had to reckon with Washington Senators hurler Dominic Hogg. Hogg overwhelmed the opposition in the 6-0 Senators triumph. The Senators go to 50-86 with the win.
Washington used a well-timed hit by Justin Yount to capture the win. The right fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Senators ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"It's easier to pitch when you get run support," said Hogg.
