The Portland Dragons picked up a win at Portland Park, knocking off the Denver Glaciers, 7-4. Starting pitcher Eliecer Cervantes was a big reason why. Portland currently is in last place in the Western Conference Eric Wise Division at 63-73.

Portland shortstop Ginjiro Muranaka contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a cutter to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 127th hit of the season and put the Dragons ahead, 4-0.

"I liked his command," said Portland manager Greg Carpenter. "Eliecer was throwing strikes."
