Vikings Earn 9-8 Win Against Destroyers
Fans watched the Minneapolis Vikings and the San Diego Destroyers fight to the finish.

The Minneapolis Vikings downed the San Diego Destroyers, 9-8, in 10 innings. Javy Trinidad led the way, going 4-for-6 for Minneapolis. Minneapolis reliever Miguel Morales snagged the win, upping his record to 2-2. Matt Kloser shouldered the loss.

The game was all tied up in the top of the tenth, until Trinidad delivered big-time for Minneapolis, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Matt Kloser. The game-changing hit put the Vikings on top, 9-8.

In postgame comments, Trinidad said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.

The Vikings have now won 6 straight.
