The San Francisco Friars defeated the Las Vegas Aces, 5-3. Center Fielder Miguel Gutierrez deserved a large share of the credit. Gutierrez was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Friars. David Platas snagged the win in relief. He goes to 4-0 on the season. R.J. Mendenhall suffered the loss. With this game in the books, San Francisco is 78-58, Las Vegas 79-57.

Amdre Ceclio, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2078, aided the San Francisco cause with a 2-run double in the top of the sixth. For the game, the third baseman was 2-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Ceclio told the San Francisco Observer. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
