Despite a fine performance by center fielder Lou Bagshaw, the Brooklyn Browns lost to the Miami Cyclones, 6-5. Bagshaw went 4 for 4 with 4 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Picking up the win was Anton Rochambeau. He went 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits. The right--hander struck out 7 and walked 3. The triumph puts Miami at 82-53 for the season.

Miami took control in the top of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, Takeya Ogata hit a 2-run single to make it 4-2, Cyclones.

"I just try to be a dog, have good swings, good at-bats," said Ogata.
