Ferris Socks 2 Home Runs in 9-8 Cincinnati Win
|
The Cincinnati Twins defeated the Baltimore Kings, 9-8. Designated Hitter Bryan Ferris deserved a large share of the credit. Ferris went 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 8 runs and scored twice for the Twins. Antonio Ramires nailed down the save. With the win, the Twins improved to 63-71.
Ferris contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Cincinnati in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-1, Ferris took a fastball from Adam Simms and stroked the home run to left-center. His 19th home run of the season allowed the Twins to leap in front, 5-3.
"We got the victory," said Ferris. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
