Dragons Lose Big to Glaciers, 12-2
|
The Denver Glaciers pinned a convincing loss on the Portland Dragons, 12-2, at Portland Park. Larry Perfect was a main factor in the win. He slugged 3 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring three times for Denver. Su-shun Nie was the winner. He's now 18-4. The loser was 23-year old right-handed pitcher Carlos Rodriguez. The Glaciers move to 82-53 with the win, while the Dragons drop to 62-73.
Early in the game, Perfect had a 3-run home run for Denver. It was his 23rd home run of the season and put the Glaciers on top, 4-1.
"It kind of got out of hand on us there," said losing manager Greg Carpenter.
