Gaedels Make Titans 9-2 Losers
St. Louis defeated New York, 9-2, in large part due to four-time All-Star Manny Sagastisado. Sagastisado drove in 4 runs. The first baseman had 1 double and 1 home run for the Gaedels. St. Louis starter Andres Anguiano was credited with the win after throwing 82 pitches over 5.1 innings. His record now stands at 9-6. The Gaedels, at 70-65, lead by one game in their division.

With St. Louis leading 2-0 in the top of the fifth, Sagastisado hit a fastball from Salvatore Castellon for a grand slam home run. It was his 21st home run of the season and put the Gaedels ahead, 6-0.

"This is not a one-man show," said Sagastisado. "A lot of the guys stepped up."
